CTK-7000: Can I use it as a Interface, Mixer and Midi Controller?

Are the 1/4" outs on the UX2 balanced?

The rhythm bank select switch doesn't work on the keyboard. I can only use 5 of the 10 rhythm presets. As everything seems to be okay electronics-wise, I think it's just a mechanical issue with the switch.

The controls on the black center panel with the LCD display are used to pan different parts. There's center, three fixed pan positions each left and right, and three auto-pan patterns that match the rhythm tempo. Two of the black knobs set the levels of two parts (melody and obligato) recorded into the sequencer. The other two knobs pan the chords and bass left and right. The sequencer can record the pan position of each part, as well as the two parts and the rhythm track.

There's a touch-sensitive chrome strip on the front edge of the keyboard that triggers a rhythm fill.

I was looking at the CTk6000 and WK6500, and the only difference I can find is that the WK has a microphone in and can record microphone?

This doesn't seem to be a valid reason to spend the extra $100 on the WK upgrade. But The CTK7000 offers Hammond B3 organ w/drawbars, Mic and Instrument In's for recording, and more of everything last thing.

I have $100 now, and expect atleast $100 for a trade in on my MPK25(or 200 if I can sell it), that would give me the money I need for the CTK-6000, if I wait till April, I could take money I get then and would have just enough to buy the 7000.

But overall since I just bought a computer interface, I don't really need the mic and instrument recording to SD feature.
There are only 100 more Built in tones, 14 more polyphoney, 50 more built in rythems, 50 drawbar organs, can hold 18,000 more notes, 50 more user presets, 50 more one touch presets, 1 more watt on speakers, and extra features like the 9 sliders, on the CTK-7000, compared to the CTK-6000.

So I am thinking that for $200, the CTK6000 should be more than enough for me! I will just have to see, but even if I did have $400, I would rather get the 6000, and then the Alesis Dm6 or a bass/guitar!

I will see how much GC will give me on trade in, they don't carry the CTK's, so I will just have to see how much they offer. I just wish someone would buy it off craigslist for the 200$!

I expect all WK and CTK past models to drop in price to clear out inventory. Maybe in a week or two we will see big drops.

I was thinking of getting a cheap old one that just plays and none of the recording stuff. But I have chosen to get the CTK-6000 and the Alesis DM6 drumset.

I have been trying to calculate how I could afford both the 6000 and the drumset, I would need 470$ +tax and accessory's.

I have 100$, if I can get $200 from the MPK25, I could buy the DM6 w/some change, and when I get another 175$ in March I could get the CTK-6000 then with a stand and pedal.

Then if I wanted to get that bass guitar I wanted, my snowboard would have to sell also! So I hope someone will just buy them already!
