I like it.

So you play it 666 times in a row to summon the demon then?

Honestly, I'd probably be sick of it by then. :(

Pretty good. Again, about 3 minutes too long, but it kept my interest for the most part. The mix sounded good to me. You know I don't know what I'm listening for, so I just listen and it sounded about like I'd expect a song like this should sound, which is a good thing. No bad surprises or anything.

I don't know if I ever told you this, but I used to hang out in techno clubs in the early 90's. I hated the music, but the chicks........:)

yeah you told me, you were a plastic raver...all glow sticks and white boilers suit but underneath you had torn underwear, a Ramones tee shirt and a pocket full of roofies! ;) lol

glad the mix worked, the last two had bass problems that why I bought the RP8's, seems it was a good purchase

thanks mate :D

well where's the replay value  :D

6 will do it Steve, but be careful man!

ta for listening

Dude I like the hell out of it. Hell if I heard this in the club I might even get out on the dance floor and get my groove on and that is sayin' a lot. Cause I can't dance at all! :drunk:

Happy jammin'

Trump

hey Trumps, thanks man...I thought this was off destined to page two lol

dont worry, it isnt for dancing...its for deeeemmmmmmoooonnnss! bwahahahahahahahaahahaahaaha!!

KC
You mentioned using the DMP pre's, How do you run most of your synth sounds? SPDIF, analog in through pre's, soft synths?

I was told that the preamps in the omni are the dmp2 preamps..cant vouch for it, they are pretty good to my ears and its also a mixer... so i run a JV and a samplers audio straight into it and a korg ea1 via a monotron...the rest is ableton, NI softsynths or a TC powercore monosynth (an SH101)

the midi goes through a midisport and the Quattro...

What the heck were you thinking KC?
I forgot to mute the third line of the ritual and I now have Satyrs and Fauns all over my back yard!!!!
who the heck is going to clean up all of this goat sh!t???? :laughings:

Just unbelievable craftsmanship here on this one KC. Just get the heck off this forum and start looking for a label to pick you up.
One year into this venture and your popping out one or two of these a week each time it's better and better.

Now the only thing missing in this one was some backwards vocals. And maybe on the pause of the song about 3/4 of the way through you could have used the slow down braking effect then po back to the tempo.

the only thing that I don't like about dropbox is that there is no time counter to be able to give reference to any particular time in a song.

Did you get to check out "Give it up" by The Goodmen?

Just keep it up and I'm sure that you won't get board with this art.

no labels going to be picking me up for the time being mate lol, but thanks for that..as long as its all going in the right direction Ill get there in the end I hope

yeah it could probably have had a break in it...it just morphed out of a vocal track into this and I kinda liked having a mini break every 16 bars, I think if I were to submit this to anyone other than Satans Slaves Inc Id have a wee go at remixing it...there are some parts I notice that are untidy, but Im on another project already :)

BTW "Give it Up" is in so many euro house tracks, I think they are Dutch to begin with...awesome drums and sampling heaven...good shout 'enry ;)

OH and I always put the track in my sig line....soundcloud has a counter and comments part to it

OK cool KC I'll check the songs out there as well from now on.

And I forgot to tell you that *667 the neighbor of the beast* has me laughing uncontrollably still. :laughings:

Now do I play the song in reverse to get rid of my back yard full of Satyrs and Fauns? And is there a market for all of this goat sh!t on the gardening circuit?

I sent you a special prayer with the good rep...that and a bucket and shovel should take care of it :D

Oh yeah I see that now, thanks KC :D Cause .... My bucket dose have a hole in it there Henry there Henry there is a hole in my bucket there Henry.

You know KC we have a gal coming into the studio in a few weeks to redo her vocals on about 14 tracks that she laid down in Italy and isn't all that happy with ... but one song is a dark techno/electronica version of "Frosty the Snowman". Maybe this will give you an idea(s) for some holiday material.

All right now all of you Satyrs line up. I'm going to show you all something I learned while working on a sheep farm.

Well done dood!

I don't anything about the Crowley fellow, but I have to say that with all of the talk about Satan and whatnot, I wasn't expecting this to be so upbeat. I suppose Satanists need to be able to get their groove on just like anyone else though.

This sounds great. There is a tremendous abount of depth to this one. Unlike a rock track, where people are typically trying to make everything sound like it's in the same room according to some kind of template, you really have free reign with this stuff, although I suppose there are certain conventions you want to adhere to even within these electronic genres?

Anyway, I just enjoy listening to the contrast between the up-close percussive bits and the farther off melodic elements. That in itself, when executed well (as you've done here), is a treat.

Oh yeah - my 10 year old daughter was once again bobbing her head. I asked her if she liked it - she nodded and asked who did it. I said "that Scottish clown dude" and she said, "oh yeah, he always makes awesome tunes". I'm tellin' ya - your #1 fan.

thanks Pete :)

yeah I layered quite a bit of atmospheres in the background...mainly to keep them from drowning everything else, but if sounds OK then it was meant :)

I spent a bit longer than I normally do on these kinda tracks...maybe thats given it that bit extra depth as Im loathe to leave them alone..

Glad your daughter likes it...by the time shes grown up, left home, married I may actually have something out for sale she could introduce her kids to? lol :D

It sounded really good as far as production goes. You did a great job. Not at all evil enough sounding though. It was a little too fun on the dance floor to make it really scary. If the instrumentation would have been creepy as hell the Crowley ritual would of been amplified X100. Only thing is your house could end up haunted for real and that's no fun. lol

yeah you've got to watch those things

when we were kids me and my bro used to read the lords prayer backwards in front of a mirror...but apart from murdering 14 prostitutes across Europe I cant say it had any adverse effects :)

I get what youre saying about evil..I just cant get evil and uptempo working together...some white zombie stuff manages it but my guitar playing sounds more like a 13 year old beginner than Jay Yuenger...despite playing it for over 20 years :o

I know what you're missing lol. Start looking into Minor Chords and Scales. Harmonic & Melodic minors are some of my favorites and also pretty creepy sounding. :P
