Ok so far for a while i have been using cakewalk guitar tracks pro 3 and i like it for its easy use but the editing features leave something to be desired. After i got my firepod and it came with cubase le i was wondering if there was a way that i could record in guitar tracks then import to cubase? I know that you can take the long way arround and export each track to wav with cakewalk then import each track but is there and easier way? Thanks to everyone in advance and good luck in 2006 -Jingleheimer-

You wouldn't expect a Chevy transmission to work in a Ford would you???

There are some audio programs that use OMF - a format that allows exchange of tracks between programs.

But for programs like guitar tracks that do not support OMF... no, you will have to export as .wav files.

The reason that i record in cakewalk is because im familiar with how it records and how it interacts with the firepod where as cubase i just got and still need a lot of time to work with. But thanks for the answers i guess i was alittle too hopeful to exect a ford to be compatable with chevey but thanks again anyway. -Jingleheimer-

They will be very similar (Make audio track, set input, arm record and record) so I would just try it
