cross overs

especially now adays with so many rap songs being played on "white" radio stations - [im not tryin to have a debate over what is a "white" radio station vs a "black" radio station - i hope we can all easily agree that there are two "types" of radio stations -even though they can both easily over lap

my question is . . .

would you try to market a rap song to a "white" radio station - as opposed to a "black" radio station? seeing as how many "white" stations will play "some" rap?

lol ill market to who eva buys it ya dig..... but at the same time i aint goin change my music to try to appeal to white stations..... or black ones for that matter
 
I say market your music to whoever is willing to play it. But, nah, i wouldn't be phony just to get pub! That won't last and you'll be miserable in the end. We don't have white rap stations here, we have stations that play different genres and thats it! So if they don't play your music, it's because they're a country station or a Rock station, unless your stuff is just wacked to them...........
But on the flip side, I can see you crossing over to show versatility, but you have to be feeling your music as well!

I didn't even know they HAD radio on Pluto Trump! :D
 
Considering over 85% of Hip-Hop is purchased by white people ages 13-25 you'd be better off marketing to the white people.

I might market towards that crowd, but I wouldn't change my approach with the hopes of attracting such a crowd. But then again, I'm not a Hiphop artist, so my approach would be different........

for real - im not thinkin of changing n othin - im like - i wanna market what i naturally do to the "white" stations - as change said - they buyin it up like crazy anyhow - and wit the "black" stations havin so many "political" games goin - i figure it cant hurt to investigate the "tricks" over there . ..
