Ok I cant figure it out, but there got to be a function built into cubase for this instead of doign it manually. Basically I want to Cross fade a part of two tracks that are stacked on top of each other then back to the original track.

track 1 ontop of track 2 I would like track 1 to be playing then fade out as track 2 fades in for a few seconds, then track 2 fade out and trk 1 fade back in.. I would love to be able to highlight the section on both tracks and be able to click some sort of crossfade, but this alludes me. Any Ideas?

Thanks!
Josh

Select both parts. Right click one part, select Process (or Audio, don't remember), select crossfade. I think there's also a shortcutkey for that.

These things are easily found in the manual though, might get a quicker answer that way.

Mmhmm. You can also do the drag n' drop thang. You can grab a wave and drag it over the wave you want it to crossfade into. When you have it overlapped at about where you think you'd want it, you right click the gray overlapped area, then select audio - crossfade. That puts an X over the gray area which means they're now crossfading into each other. Then you can double click the X area and that brings up the little crossfade window, where you can then do all the little adjustments to make it sound exactly like you want it.
