This one is from cambridge-mt: Crossroads by the Slimy Soul Suckers and I mixed and mastered it:

Please listen to it and give me your opinion how to improve it.

First I’m listening on my iPad speakers, so there is that.

There seems to be a high mid quankiness in the vocal.

How did you record the drums? They sound very midi like.

I’d like to hear more separation and definition in the rhythm guitars. Do you use high pass filtering on the guitar tracks? There is some muddiness there.

It’s a bit strange - it’s mixed right - but everything sounds sort of muted - but when you turn it up it comes alive - did you mix
it at volume?

Thank you for your time to listen and give me feedabck!
I got the tracks from cambridge-mt where they are placed for educational purpose, so I did not record them

What you say about the vocals is really true, I think it's his natural voice. I will make a new mix and place the link here.

There might be a bit too much compression on it, let me check the next mix. And see my other answer, right before yours.

Can you use some drum replacement software to alter the drum sounds?

Mmm, I don't have that. The drums sounds good for me, it's more the lead vocals voice that sounds too much from the throat, which I don't like
I can’t get past the snare sound to get to the vocal, which is the best part.

Thank you all for your supportive input, here is my new version, which is improved:
