just want to start off by saying sorry, i wasn't sure where to put this so i put it here as it seems a popular sub-forum.
anyhow... a while ago, as most of you know i was telling you about where i was, so i thought now... i would give you an update....

Though initially i wasn't too sure about how my life was going career/music wise, after a chat via e-mail with someone whom works at the college, i have decided to apply for LCM (leeds college of music) to do this course; http://www.lcm.ac.uk/courses/further-education/BTEC-ND-Music-Technology.htm
then after those 2 years, i will go on hopefully to do this 3 year course; http://www.lcm.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/ba-music-production.htm

This new found confidence has given me that extra push no doubt to strive for sucess, infact i was on the phone to hot money studios this morning (they produce for the likes of wiley, and have done work with many large record labels) and they too agreed in which to do this i need some more equipment. theirfore i am searching for a job at the moment to try fund a new computer, i am going towards mac definatly, though not sure if i am going for the iMac or macbook. Though the iMac will give me the power i need, the macbook is mobile, theirfore spaces i have between lectures or what not i could work on my music via the macbook. What do you guys think about that.. i would be using logic express software wise.

Also obiously i am also needing new monitors, soundcard (external) and headphones (monitors) all of which i have at the moment, though are all very relevant, valid upgrades.

However... i have tried a number of places, by large, via e-mail and sadly.. have got no reply from most. So also if anyone from the uk knows where i can get work around west yorkshire, full time, doign anything, please let me know.

But now i can say confidetnly, that the ball is rolling as i begin to hopefully build a future in music, i don't expect for it to be 'a walk in the park' and i know it will involve long days and sleepless nights but whey... as they say 'sleep when your dead'

I was also talking to someone whom i hadn't spoken to in a while and he told me that he is in a band, so i am also now able to record for bands however i am going to hold back until i get the new equipment.

To aid learning further, i am going to be going to hot money studio in london in a few weeks for some tuition, at a cost of 120GBP for 8 hours, money well spent if it will improve my creativness even in the slightest i guess.

But after years of searching for what i want to do 'when i grow up' i can now smile and say, this is what i want to do, and i won't let anybody stop me. everyday, i am learning more, via reading books/material on the net and even just listening to songs now, almost as a habit i hear vocals and find myself picking at what effects have been used :D

I am also beginning to plan to move away from home, perhaps not right now, but in a few months, as i would have more flexability over recording and would have the use of a room exclusivly for music.

In addition, if anybody around the uk is willing to provide me with some tuition, i would be very gratful and would readily take the opp up, and wouldn't mind paying if there is something to be learned.

thanks for listening. Dan.
