I've posted on and off and on for a while but never asked for a review of anything I ever did. Would you all honor me by telling me what you think of this song and mix? It is about two years old and so I've improved abit with my mixing and tracking but it still is fine. Its called "Three Diamonds" and its on the Fostex portal.

Search for artist Robert Brown and it will come up. Don't try to look for it, those pages are funky. They never reload the same way twice.

I really like it but would hate to accidently give it a bad rating. I would be interested in hearing it without the echo on the vocal, too.
 
That would be a pain. I don't have a web page yet to load it to. To change that version on the portal takes forever. They are slow there.
 
I liked it, thought the vocals maybe a little to forward in the mix, but maybe thats what you were going for.

I think the vocals were a little forward and maybe they could benefit from being a little "rougher" or "raspy" . That isn't a criticism of your voice which sounds fine. It just seems this song calls for a "growling" vocal but that's just me.

Everything sounded good. Nice job. IMHO.
