Recording my own songs, can do rhythm guitar and voice tracks, have a couple of options for drum track production, but bass.
I have been working with the key editor and building bass note by note. Also working a little with a Yahama midi input, but I am not a keyboard player either.
I also have been working with taking drum track midi and editing it to make bass tracks, not with much finesse yet.
I do understand a decent amount of music theory - though I cannot reel off scales and would have to work them out.
So I am looking for ways any of you might have come up with a way to create workable bass tracks. IOW something for a loose demo to musicians or for friends to get a sense of a song. I have a sense one could use the CHORD TRACK function to help or as a basis, but I haven't figured that out yet.
What do you do?
I suppose if there someone creating lead guitar or other melodic tracks, they might have a transferable method for bass.
Thanks
