There is a palace, nay...kingdom made of steel, dreams, and sass. Beyond its gates the fancy of a proud breed fills the air unburdened. We are here, at the COWBELL HALL OF FAME!

Please reply with suggestions. :D

Mine:
Tommy Lee - Too Fast for Love (entire album)

Stone Free (Jimi Hendrix)

Hair of The Dog (Nazareth)

Mississippi Queen (Mountain)

Tommy Lee- "Live Wire" The bridge is the only cowbell 16th
notes that fit in a song. :)
Loverboy of course. The old 123 count in "Everybodies working for the weekend".

Too Fast...revisited

Bdrum: correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there at least one cowbell fill in EVERY song on Too Fast for Love - even the non LP cut "Stick to Your Guns?" That makes me happy.

:)

Anthony Martinez, touring drummer on Black Flag's '85 "Who's Got the 10 1/2" live LP used a LOT of tasteful, non-intro, cowbell fills in (believe it or not) a punk setting. If nobody out there has heard this record, do check it out. He kicks ass.

Alex Van Halen on "Loss of Control" from Women and Children First, ALSO plays a delicious 16th note bell fill out of the post-solo breakdown. Hotness aboundz.

Pantera's Vinnie Paul rocks out a cowbell on "Drag the waters" as well as "Revolution is my name".
"welcome to the jungle" is another one that comes to mind. I think there was quite a bit of cowbell going on in that song. Especially the "DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE?" section.....LMAO
DEF LEP anyone? F F F FOOLIN! ok im done

C'mon! Don't forget...

the intro of "Honky Tonk Woman"!!

Guess What!!?...I gotta fever and the only thing that'll cure it....is more cowbell

Rapture, house of jealous lovers... and that Lowrider song.

Witch Hunt, from Moving Pictures, or better yet on the GUP video

Buck hit the Holy Trinity of cowbell, but....

Funk #49-James Gang
Don't Fear the Reaper- BOC
Earache My Eye-Cheech and Chong
Touch of Grey- Grateful Dead
Good Times Bad Times- Zep
Fat Man In the Bathtub- Little Feat
King of the Hill themesong- Refreshments
Owner of a Lonely Heart-Yes
Still I'm Sad- Rainbow
Frankenstein- Edgar Winter
Heat of the Moment- Asia
Drive My Car- Beatles
Pretty Fly(For a White Guy)- Offspring
Everybody's Working for the Weekend- Loverboy

all have their moments. Some will make you hate the cowbell, some will make you love it.

The Year: 1969

The Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival

The Song: Born on the Bayou

The entire Appetite For Destruction album.

But...just to chime in with Buck62 here...Hair of the Dog is absolutely the most heart-wrenching rock-fury usage of the cowbell in all of eternity.
