Umm.... ok i know this might be a little late. BUT, if you are getting this proffesionally pressed, which i cant remember if you are doing my experince, first of all text should be done with a layout program, not phottoshop, since it will be pixelated. true type fonts, and adobe post scripts are high resolution vectors. so they can be scaled without pixelation. basically they have a maximum pixelation theoretically. i think around 2760dpi, but try making that cover image that resolution and it will be bigger then shite knows what. so what im saying is do you need someone to just layout the text on the cover. and even if you are doing it on home laser jet, photoshop will pixelate where as if i use adobe ilustrator and creat a pdf it wont pixelate. just some food for visual qulaity. and anyway, most print houses wont print your stuff if fonts are rasterised, not vector based still.
