It looks better in uncompressed high resolution format...

Reminds me of a page I saw in guitar world a few years ago on the band Mudhoney, but this one kicks it's ass! Two thumbs Down!

I tried converting the image to greyscale and it looked like hell. It just didn't capture the same depth of the image that the color version did. I say keep it color and pass the cost onto the consumer!

Well, WE are the consumer, but I have no problem with color even if it does cost a little more. (not sure on that)

So, let's NOT vote. Unless someone has something that is better than what S8N has done, this is the cover for the CD. Agreed? I know the deadline is way off, but hell, this is a fine piece of work!

I'm starting to get a little bit excited about this project again!

Man I can't wait to hear this compilation... With a cover like that ya know it's gotta be good.

BTW the guitar with the "Dick" sticker is now for sale... Get the details over at the "MP3 mixing clinic" under Ammeth's new song... And check out the song while you are there...

Personally I just wanna know how you have a better version of the HomeRec logo than I do!

S8-N!
You're no Ken Webber, but this is an awesome cover...
Looks like you've found your calling in life, my boy. Stay away from the greasy spoons and do this full-time, or I'll send old Kenny to your house...

I used to call my basement at my old place Subterrainian Homesick Studios, now that everything is in my bedroom, I call it Clusterfuck Studios. I guess I should sign that name away to S8N. He's proven he's worthy. lzb

S8,

I'm new here, but I thought I'd check out what you got goin' on with regard to your comp CD. Great job on the artwork, man! I'm workin' on a cover for a guy's blues/rock album. Coming out decent, but I really don't have a passion for this part of the process. Produced about 4 albums last year and will do about 6 this year. Generally I've thrown the artwork in for free. Decided to stop doing that because it was just killing me and the people were becoming WAY too pickey for free, if you know what I mean.

Once again, nice job. Striking cover.

Umm.... ok i know this might be a little late. BUT, if you are getting this proffesionally pressed, which i cant remember if you are doing my experince, first of all text should be done with a layout program, not phottoshop, since it will be pixelated. true type fonts, and adobe post scripts are high resolution vectors. so they can be scaled without pixelation. basically they have a maximum pixelation theoretically. i think around 2760dpi, but try making that cover image that resolution and it will be bigger then shite knows what. so what im saying is do you need someone to just layout the text on the cover. and even if you are doing it on home laser jet, photoshop will pixelate where as if i use adobe ilustrator and creat a pdf it wont pixelate. just some food for visual qulaity. and anyway, most print houses wont print your stuff if fonts are rasterised, not vector based still.
