I'm listening to "Find the Cost of Freedom"...

You might need to roll off some of the low end on the guitars. Great vocal sound and arrangement- really cool. Why does it end so abruptly? Is there more? I want more... This could be an epic.

"Politician"...

This has a very cool retro rock feel. I'm hearing Grand Funk and Foghat- and I mean that in a good way. Nice guitar/bass riff with the lead lines over it. I like your voice a lot. I need to break out my stash! Really nice playing. The mix is great, nice use of reverb. "I wanna just show you want my politics are"- great line. It ends too abruptly.

Good job Tom.

Jon

ps- I just got back from the Rush concert so my ears are a little fried but my heart is a lot full.

i listened to 'find the cost of freedom'..........i would seperate the lead from the rhythm in the stereo field at the intro....right now it sounds like the timing issues are worse than they probably are because they are right on top of eachother........the vocals sound good, and the harmonies are solid...nice work

Thanks for the comments and for listening, jjtcorsair and powderfinger.
The CS&N tune was done in less than an an hour after work one afternoon last week.I got pissed off the ugly tone war-politics turned this week and dashed it off.The recording is pretty sketchy and sonically rough, but I like the vibe anyway.
The Cream tune,I took all day Saturday working on,with multiple guitar takes trying for a Clapton feel.Vocals was done in one take into an SM57.This is week two with my new Yamaha NS 5295 monitors and I like my mixs better. They seem to work on more systems.

I liked it, there is a low end ambience out there somewhere, but I still like it.
