hey everybody,

quick question here. When i set the metronome to count in 8 beats and then start recording, it counts the 8 beats correctly but as soon as its ready to record, there is about an eight of a second delay that thows everthing off. What's going on here? there's not tracks or effects present to take up cpu power. should i presue trying to fix this or should i just start recording at 0 lead in beats and count in 8 myself, then delete those 8 beats later.

Thanks for the help.

What I do is instead of using the metronome I make a click track and run it through a dxi synth (like sound canvas). That way I can set up whatever accents I need in parts of the song and can send the click to any output. I leave 8 beats before I start playing, then after I just slide everything back two measures in the track view with snap on. This is in Sonar 2.2 and I am the drummer.... I guess I just could be fussy.

minofifa, what drivers and soundcard are you using?

ahhh touche moskus, never thought of that till. I'm using shitty MME drivers with my tascam us122. The WDM one's were giving me atitude with my other soundcard (yahaha). That would make sense though, maybe i'll try the WDM again now since i don't use the yamahos anymore. Thanks

I have a similar problem. As soon as I hit "start" to begin tracking, the click track starts right off with a little rhythym glitch. And this is just to get an audio track of my midi click track. I just add a blank measure or 2 at the beginning of tracks.

What happens if you disable "the other" soundcard in Sonar/HS/whatever? ;)
