Everyone one this BBS wants one. No one on this BBS has played one. What makes everyone think the amp is really that versitle and good?

Well, for me it has a lot to do with the fact that the Harlequin is 6 watts. I want tube craziness but without the volume a 50 watt head needs to get it. I'd really probably prefer the Hurricane (Harlequin's big brother), but the price is almost double. Same with the Hellcat — it's beyond my price range. Not that I have even $1000 on me or anything .

There are other amps I've looked at online that interest me, but so many of the boutique amp sites don't have any sort of sound sample to at least get a small idea of how they sound. Since I'm not buying one tomorrow or anything, hopefully I'll get an opportunity to play a few of them in the near future. And I'm planning a trip to St. Louis to try out the Harlequin at Fazio's Music. Then you can change your statement from "No one on this BBS" to "Someone on this BBS," eh?

I subscribe to GT (Guitar Techniques), a British Guitar Tutorial type magazine, and it arrives monthly with a CD.

I would have to say that most of the lessons on the CD are recorded with a Cornforn amp ....they eveidently are some kind of sponsor.

I think the Cornfords have an appealng "boutique" sound to them.

I heard a track from a English guitarmag, those clips on the Cornford site sounds much better. I wasn`t aware of them.....
