Hello. I am trying to catch some of the low frequencies in a small control room in my garage. I have seen several plans and ideas for bass panel absorbers. My particualr area to treat is a top corner that runs the width of the room at the back wall. I figured that a corner absorber would be out of the way here and hopefully solve a trouble area in my frequency distribution.
My question is : Should the surface of the panel be plain wood to allow for increased resonance? Also is it ideal to have a small air gap between this front panel and the rigid foam insulation in addition to the air gap behind the insulation before the exisiting wall?
Thanks in a advance. cP
