Copying and pasting files into one file

Hi all:
I have Cool Edit and I recorded a fairly large voice over job into several files. Now I need to create one file for and paste each part into it. I have no idea how to copy and paste, or however it's done, in order to transfer it ftp. (Just learned to do that.)
Can anyone help me? Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without this forum. Joan
 
two ways... the first involves actual copying and pasting. You'd open each file, copy the part you want, and paste it in another file. That's not very efficient or time consuming.

Best way is create a multi-track session. Open each file on it's own track, then mix the files by dragging the wave files where you want them to go. Then you go to edit and mixdown all the files, and you have a new wave, from the others you brought together.
