OK---Don't laugh me out of the forum. I'm a guitar player...very limited knowledge/ability on keys.

I recently posted inquiring about cheap keyboards w/ cool sounds. I wanted some "different" sounds as well as a few orchestral flavorings to add to my guitar saturated tracks. Someone alluded to one of the new "circuit city staple casios". (I already had an old casio that had some decent tones imho).

So I did it. Best Buy had $150 casio out of the box for $120. (I think it's CTK something.) This thing ROCKS. (I said not to laugh!) Seriously, I've been tracking brass tracks, some strings and flute, and even freakin' accordian solos. I find as long as I play in the real instrument's range, these tones are are almost believable.

The skinny? It's the best $120 I ever spent and ain't ashamed to have it in the studio. Wooohooo!

Thanks all for advice/suggestions. (Does anyone else have one of these little guys?)
