Cool nickname for Sonar and users of it...??

Just watch "The Hunt for Red Oktober" or "U571" sometime. I personally recommend "U571" because you get to see Jon Bon Jovi die. :D


Yeah I think that's actually the only thing I can even remember about that movie. But I don't want to digress into something. . .

I vote for "Pingers" as well btw.
 
now that i know what pingers means, i change my vote to pingers.
 
we need to come to a consensus so we can spread this enlightening name for the software that we enjoy most

after seeing the definition i like pingers too

Pingers doesn't work for me.

Alsihad refers to the software Protools.
Pingers refers to people who use Sonar.

We need something that refers to the software. Ping? Does not ring.

Protools examples:

He used Alsihad to make that track work.
Alsihad is the bane of the industry.

Sonar examples:

Starwanabe as in we all wana be stars but can't afford the high end software.

Loender as we are at the low end of the music food chain.

Woeisme as in I can't afford better software.

Littlefish as in we are the small fish in a sea of music.

Whalefodder as in we are at the bottom of the ocean in experience or success.

Alsicouldafford as in I did not have enough money to go the Protools route.

Whyitsoundssodigital, speaks for itself.

KmartRadar as in I can't afford a Radar system.

lessthan500 as in trying to build a pro sound $500 at a time.

Homebody as its primarily found in the home.

Bambooshootsundernails as its the same experience paying $99 dollars a year to keep up with the latest version.

Starsearch as in I might as well save my money and go on this TV show. It could be a better career move.

No problem though. Sonar sounds great, and since I don't need to send projects out to places that had to waste mone on ThE NamE, I could give a rats ass. (In a friendly sort of way:)

U571 problems
I starting experimenting with the pattern brush today in U571. It's a pretty neat little to for laying down some drums quickly...

...Basically, when I use the pattern brush, U571 locks up and shuts down. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's still useable. I just have to save after every edit. Rather annoying, I must say even though it helps.

Well, that was an earlier thread I posted. U571 works for me as does Pingers! :D
