cool edit pro and fruity loops

Before I rip my hair out, I would like some answers to teh following please,

1. Can I record my guitar and other tracks in cool edit pro and then export the file to use in fruity loops?
2. Should I make the drum tracks in fruityloops first and then export to cool edit pro to do guitar and vocals? (if this is the case, how can i tell where i want certain things to go without having a guitar track laid down)

I have recorded guitar in CEP and tried to import in FL studio and it won't work, I keep getting fragmented or sped up versions. Any help would be appreciated.

I use fruity loops for drums and synths most of the time. I'll have the tune writen on guitar so I'll sit with the guitar on and sequence the drums in FL, often starting it up and playing along to what I've got so far to make sure everything is fitting.

When I get my drums the way I want them I'll export a stereo wav from FL and save it

I'll take that stereo wav of my drums into cool edit and lay down my guitars, bass, vocals......anything else I have to using my drum track as a guide.

When I'm ready to do a mix I'll go back to FL and export each track out seperately to a mono wave then export them in to cool edit to give me full control of every aspect of the drums when it comes to mixing the song.

To be honest it's not the quickest of processes but I have time on my hands.

I'd like to look into something like BFD that I could run inside cubase and just do everything from within the one program but I'm midiphobic

Thanks for the response LemonTree. Just to be clear. You sit in front of fruityloops with your guitar on and play. Do you lay down a metronome in fruityloops first, then just add drum beats as you see they should fit?

well I usualy set the tempo in FL and add two steps of just hihats on the sequencer window and chech the tempo with struming the guitar.

Good thing about it is, once I import into cool edit and track say a guitar and bass and I think I need to make it faster or slower....straight back into FL and adjust the tempo and export again

I played drums years ago so it makes programing the steps a bit easier
