These came from a 60s Kay Vanguard Thin Lite I believe it is called. I am pretty sure they are Dearmonds based on their design and the era they come from. The neck pick up is dead reading 0.00 Kohms on the multimeter. The bridge works and reads 5.67 kohms, but is too noisy to use. The back of both pick ups are corroded and rusty and I am sure the inside is as well, which is likely causing the failure. I think the back of the bridge pick up reads 82665 which should date these to 1965. I really like the look of these and am considering getting them repaired/rewound. I am wondering if these are single coils and if they have a common name. I have a Dearmond Gold Foil pick up on a 60s Harmony Rocket that I believe is a single coil, it has a fancier cover and sounds awesome. The foil on these looks similar but they have a lower resistance. Any wisdom about these and a good place to send them for repair/rewind would be appreciated.
