Hi and thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me. My husband plays Korg Trinity V3 Pro and Korg IS 50. He's recorded a song in midi format on the Trinity, but I can't figure out how to burn a cd from it in either Cakewalk Express or Adaptec Easy CD Creator...don't even know if it's possible.? Neither program allows me to convert it to wave and because midi is recognized as a data file, I need to convert it to audio, to make the cd.

I've tried everything and once it said it recorded to the cd, but of course when I tried to play it back, I got silence. Been working on this for almost a week before I found this great site. So what do I need to do, get more software, a converter, (if there is one), or is there a way to do this, with what I've already got? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

If you have the ability to record audio within your software then its simple. After recording your midi tracks, tie the audio out of the keyboard to the the input of your soundcard. Arm the track you want to record to. Instruct the sequencer to output the midi track to midi out so that it plays the keyboard and record.

There is a program calles wavmaker. I dont know how hard it is to find or come by though...
You can probably set your sound card to "mixed output" witch means you can record what you play so can record in your wavrecorder (Soundforge or whatever) while you are playing up the track in cakewalk and then edit what you have got.

Can't you just hook the audio output from the Korg to your comp an drecord it in soundforge or Cool Edit. Then save it as wav and record it to a CD.

Thanks!

Many thanks for your help guys! I'll try all your suggestions that I can...don't have the programs mentioned in the 3rd reply, so can't do that, but I appreciate it.

As for the programs,you´ve got Windows Media Player ( IT´S A RECORDER TOO )...and it stores the recordings as a WAVE FILE like any other of those progs you say you dont have,then burn into CD.!
Good luck!::

Thanks!

Thanks again for all the replies, got the cd done!
