I've got some files I want to burn to CD that are in a 32k wav format. CD Creator will only accept a 44.1 (or 22k) for burning. When I use the windows sndrec32 program, the conversion works but the sound gets messed up - kind of hissy on the high end. I've tried a couple of shareware programs and the same thing seems to happen. Is there a way to get a clean conversion? Should I try and put it into 44.1k from the analog output of the 32k?

If the software is ruining your file while attempting the upsample, then you may get better results by doing the analog recapture thing you mentioned. But better than that would be SW that does this right. I just checked and Vegas Pro handles this chore.
So if you've got a way to upload a sample, I'll do a software conversion for you for comparison and upload it back to you.
