contact cleaner question

Is the contact cleaner radio shack sells OK? I need to clean the pots in my amp and was just going to use it since it was readily available.
 
Yeah, it's fine. We used it for years in the shop. Now we use something which is better and cheaper, but you have to buy it by the case, so you probably are not interested.

The stuff from Radio Shack is fine but if you can find it DEOX 5 is a lot better.
 
Thanks, I'll just use Radio shacks stuff(since it's right down the street) I just didn't want to use it if it's not good for the pots in the long run..... gunk them up or too much lube etc.
