Seriously considering berhinger 1222usb mixer
I am new to this and want to record my voice over karaoke songs. I have been doing some reseach (mind you blindly) but found what i think si need in one product. The Berhinger Xenix 1222USB has it all. It has all see below:

If you just want to record your vocals over karaoke tracks you'd probably be better going for something a little smaller than a 16 track deskyou could easily hook up a nice 4 track mixer with a 1/8'' to RCA cable such as PEAVEY PV 6 - Irish International Cyberstore thats a little peavey number saving you over 100€ that you could invest in a decent DAW or Mic and just use Audacity if your on a budget, STEINBERG CUBASE ESSENTIAL 5 - Irish International Cyberstore and a 58 or something like it would get you started well. After all if your just after dubbing of tracks that'd be enough for you to work with

Follow thoughts

The reason for the berhnger were as follows;
It has a built in usb out put to a PC no need for analog converter
One button voice removal
Suite of software for pc
Growth for future

As for a mic i was considering a AKG 220 any thoughts?

a smaller audio interface would be better....then record onto Reaper.

The effect suite that will come with the mixer will be no better than what comes with reaper or is free


I like behri mixers but this is overkill and there are better pre-amps for the price


for a mic try an MXL V67g...great vocal mic for the price
