Connections?

In my sound room i have a snake coming in to the first 12 channels and they are tapped through with the inserts to a patch bay and then they go to varios places such as commpressors and mic pres and ultimatly end up at the inputs of a Digi 001.

My question is it ok that i have my signals from mics going in to a Mic pre with 1/4" inputs and outs?

OK? Yeah. Are they balanced 1/4" connectors? If they are they will be TRS (tip ring sleeve), if not they should be just TS (tip and sleeve). Either way os fine but balanced would be better although if you are going into unbalanced gear and into the Digi001 it won't matter anyhow. The answer is: yes, it's fine.
