I've always liked this little gem. It's from Between the Buttons isn't it?
You've not lost the pop sense of this but you've added some muscle.
this now sounds like a Power Pop gem rather than a minor pop one.
Well done!

Greg:
my first impression was by some lack in the bottom end;maybe it´s me, I passed the day mixing/listening bass heavy songs.
After 2 or 3 times and mix sits better and well balanced.

*I don´t know the original

Thanks Ray. This was really just for shits and grins since I don't have anything else going on musically right now. Just been "mastering" my CD, so I wanted to record something new.

Thanks CIRO. All that bass is killing you! :p

Rad cover. Really nice mix - the thing that did stand out though was that the cymbals seem to sizzle a little too much (mainly only on the heavy crashy parts) - sortof a bit too toppy and would really hurt my ears if i was listening to a whole album:)

Nothing else, good work:)

Thanks Tim. I haven't listened on any other systems yet, so you may be right about the cymbals. Although, my cymbals are loud as fuck at any volume. :D

What else man, friggin rocks!@ Sounds like it could have been on that Ramones album "Acid Eaters" with all there covers of 60's /garage band tunes... sooo good! Another one for the summer mix!

Good one Greg - you added some meat to the tune... no mix issues from me.
I hope you're not getting involved in the loudness wars when mastering lol....:D

I'm not familiar with the original song, but I can confidently say that that was awesome. I could definitely see me putting that in with my regular collection of MP3's.

Thanks Queepy. Yeah Acid Eaters was cool...to me anyway. A lot of Ramones fans just shrugged it off. Their cover of "My Back Pages" and "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" were fucking kick ass. Thanks again man.

Thanks a lot Ido. You think it's too loud?

I pretty much "master" all of my stuff about the same. I try to walk the line between "kick ass" and "ow my ears". :D

Cool. Thanks Erich.

Cool Greg,
Poor 'ol Mick & Keith would have to have a lot of Geritol to keep up with you on this one! Good job, your drums kick ass (as always) along with everything else!!!

Yeah man, I love that album...My favs are Journey to the center of the Mind and Substitute....you definetly got the same vibe with your cover!

Hey Greg...I thought I was the only one who liked that song...I love that song. Great cover in your style...your mixing and performing skills are outstanding.

I remember listenign to the original time and time again. It's a funny sort of song that kind of seems to almost fall apart or be disjointed or something. But it's a real great song.

Very surprised to see a cover of this here

Yeah that whole album is pretty cool. Been listening to it today. Thanks again. :)

Thanks man. Yeah the original is a fun little song. I've always liked it with the weird panning, saloon style piano, and what seems like 3 bass guitars playing. I don't know if the Stones played it live much. I know Keith Richards does in his solo act.

Ha....the Stones only wish they had so much balls! :D:D
Great kick-ass version, Greg, your drums sound amazing as ever.
Wonderful, love it and gonna add it to my Greg collection!

Joey :):):):)

When are you going to post a song that sucks?

Great as always. And the cymbals are not too loud (I am on cans too... :o )...

Strange, but I don't know the original. Sounds like something Ramones would do.

Just joining your fan base to say it's a great song and well done. AGAIN!!! :)

I doubt any of you guys are familiar with them... but it reminds me of a band called The Yo-Yo's. I can't find anything of theirs on Youtube to post though.

Thanks Rokket. I've posted lots of stuff that sucks. My earliest recordings were

I've learned a lot from you guys. :)

Thanks a lot Chili. I'm ALWAYS thrilled with Ramones comparisons! :)
