connecting my monitors

Feel free to flame me, but...

I bought a Tascam DP01FX 8 track recorder and I need to connect it to my Behringer 2030 Active Monitors.

The Tascam has 2 1/4" Stereo mix outputs (L and R), 2 RCA line out (L and R), 2 1/4" effect send, and a 1/4" effect return.

Each monitor has a 1/4" input and an XLR input.

Do I just connect the L stereo mix on the tascam to the the monitor i have on my left and the R to the right monitor?

Also, the 1/4" inputs on the monitors are balanced and the stereo outs on the tascam are unbalanced. Will this affect my sound much?
