When I link two mic cables together for extended reach will there be an loss of signal..I havent noticed anything myself, but I think there is strong posibility.
Heres another one, If I link a mic cable through an XLR wall plug and then a patch cable (like monster interlink) will there be detereoration of the sound???? Thanks

Yup.
The fact that you can't really hear the difference might be a function of your monitoring circuit or your ears.
Every connection in your recording chain.
Every foot of cable.
No way around it.
I can't quantify this suggestion, but:
Keep it short and sweet.
Or at least balanced.
Let me know if you find any exceptions to this rule that you <can> quantify.

I guess that means that there will be a quality drop when I wire my studio -- through the wall plates. Anyway, thanks for the info!

If your using good quality, low resistance cable (even star quad, but i'm not totally sold on that idea yet, heavier guage wire would have the same effect, unless your in the space shuttle, but that would be redundant.) I don't think you will have any problems. Wall plates are pretty much the norm in any studio.
