I was curious to know which was the most common input to use on the audiophille 2496 soundcard? I'm using my mic for vox, into the audiobuddy preamp, into the soundcard...do you use left or right input...also does anyone run their guitar into the preamp then to the soundcard or straight to the soundcard?

Thanx

What type of cord (ie 1/8, 1/4, RCA, etc) is it that's going out of your preamp. I have the 2496 as well and find utilizing those nice gold-platted RCA ins is quite nice, maybe get an adapter so it's stereo RCA, check Guitar Center near you and ask them for help.

never run a guitar straight to the soundcard...unless you mean a high impedance input with a preamp on a breakout box.

it doesnt matter if you use the left or right input, as they are the same.....while youre recording, while it is technically "left" or "right" input, its just plain mono......

Thanx guys

I'm running my guitar into the Audio Buddy out of that into the anolog in of the soundcard...cool...but my meters are so high(in the red) on my channel, I have to back the preamp off to where the signal light is barely lit...is that normal?

Also, do I lose any type of signal if I have a 1/4" adaptor plug for the cord coming out of my preamp going to my soundcard? Really curious about that!!
Pres. is on soon....

Thanx again
