I am a 52 year old guy in a very high-tech world, not a good combination.
I have these 2 recorders and I'm trying to put them together and use as 1. I also have 2 EZ135 hard drives I am wanting to use with them. Can anyone help me try to understand the hook-up process with this?

Go into the system settings and set one as master and one as slave. Hook the midi out on the "master" unit to midi in on the "slave" unit. Use the master to control each. A few other settings may have to be tweaked. Try to get a manual.

visit the vs planet web sit and go to vs 880 page do a search on your unit
or leave a post as on this page
I have 2 vsr880 hooked up via midi and these have direct outs for audio
In your case you will hook up via rbuss
download the owners manuals for the vs880ex from roland as these have diagrams and settings for different settings in system, midi and sync settings areas
the vsr880 user manual shows settings and diagrams for hook up to the vs880ex all you need do is user the vsr settings for the vs 880 and make the 880ex the master unit

good luck
