CoNnEcT Me Pleez !!

I purchased a Behringer Tube Ultragain Mic200 Preamp and I need to connect it to my laptop... Which is a brand new Dell Inspiron 600m.

The outputs on the Preamp are a (male) XLR output, and a 1/4" TRS output.

I was thinking I could just buy a 1/8" Stereo Male to 1/4" Female Adapter... then plug the 1/8" end into the side of my laptop... then buy a 1/4" (Male) - 1/4" (Male) Cable... and then plug the 1/4" cable into the adapter and the preamp.

This probly sounds really confusing, but that's probly bcuz I'm really confused. I'm a newbie when it comes to home recording.

How can I connect my preamp?!?

you could just get a 1/4'' TRS cord and put a 1/8'' converter tip on it to insert into your computer. I would get a XLR to 1/8'' though as i've heard that XLR is the better connection
