Condenser Microphone - MXL or Behringer

I am very new to recording business, I want to create podcasts and record some good quality vocals. I did bit of reading and found couple of sites and now overwhelmed with information and utterly confused what to do and which product to buy.

I want a device which can work on - PC, Mac and iPad to create audios podcasts

I was about to buy this above mentioned product but with bit more reading I came across this site

Now I am clueless. I want something that can connect to all three devices mentioned above. Will simple USB interface give good results? Or should I try something else.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated

my wife is a good singer so want to see if any of the microphones I mentioned in the original post would suit for recording good songs. In this forum I read about getting a good condenser microphone and M-Audio FastTrack Recording Interface. I just want to understand before spending money.
 
Can you please tell me about some good microphone? Without going overboard I would like to say that my budget for a good microphone is about $200 bucks.
 
That is going to be tough - not knowing how your wife sounds.
If you live near a Guitar center you could go in and demo their inventory.

We went to guitar center, this saturday we would go there again. get some insight into garageband and also they said they will record a sample audio. But I would still appreciate your feedback.

If your heart is set on a condenser, try the AT2035. If not, give the less expensive SM58 a try first. It sometimes requires a lot of experimentation to match a mic to a singer. Simply investing in a quality mic could be useless if it's not the right mic for that particular voice.
 
as a general rule of thumb; I'd stay away from all thing behringer. although they do own Bugera, which makes some pretty incredible sounding tube amps
