Anyone know any computer programs on Download.com. That I could use to get rid of some of 8-track type sound. Make it sound somewhat pro.

I don't think he's talking 8-track a la Fostex or Tascam (or even Alesis), I think he's talking 8-Track more like the tape player in the dashboard of my old '66 Chevy Biscayne station wagon.

You guys know. That fuzz and that certain 8-Track sound. I just wanted my bands songs more pro sounding.

The I'm in a hole kinda sound.

I downloaded a couple of really good programs but I had to crack them.

Acoustica Mixcraft - Basically your standard recording/mixing program, containing standard plugins. Also lets you add your own if you want. You can mix-down to mp3, wma., wav. or whatever so thats cool.

Acoustica Beatcraft - I really cool and easy to use drum machine which i've used on all my songs, gives you a heap over different kits (rock/blues, techno, rap/r&b, etc) and you can customise them even further with the same sort of plugins.

I reccommend them as they are free, usefull and really easy to use.

If you like MIDI and making beats then Anvil Studio and Noteworty Composer are both free too.

You can use a program called JAMIN. Its free, although I think there is only a linux version although I could be wrong. Typically, this prog is a rather proffesional set of mastering plugins.
