hi again , i seem to be getting lots of computer orientated noise like the harddrive working , and other mains type hisses and pops coming out of my monitors when i use a distorted plugin within reaper .
i have an m-audio ozone , connected to the computer -- laptop by the way , which has its own audio interface built in .
i know that in the past if i connect my monitors to the laptop i get all sorts of noise coming thru them , so i bought a ground loop eliminator which did the trick , but how do i do it with the m audio ozone ? if it is that which is the problem , as its connected by a usb cable .
would i put the ground loop between the 2 outputs from the m audio and the monitors .
the noise only happens when using a plugin (distorted) within reaper , in this case would putting the ground loop eliminator inbetween the m audio and monitors actually work , and wiould this stop the noise being picked up when recording
