computer crash w/ protools le

I have recently bought a new laptop (Hp zv6000). I have installed PTLE 6.7 and every time I try to open it, the computer crashes and reboots. After rebooting i get the "your computer has recovered from a serious error" message. I have done all the proper set up to the computer but can't figure out why I can't open the software. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing you're using Windows XP SP2?

try using the latest Pace drivers first: http://www.paceap.com/dldrvr.html
This was a problem when Windows offered SP2 to people. I can't remember the link for the CS update that was supposed to fix it....they may have taken it down. But Digi says upgrading the driver at the link above is supposed to fix it now.
6.7 was around for such a brief time (partly because of this issue).
