I been trying to mix using compression. I have attached a song that im using compression in a FX bus and using the amount of the send from the main guitar to compress the second guitar. just trying to get the guitar to equal. Is this the best way to compress the two signals together.

Thanks

I kinda understand what you are saying/asking.....mmmmm....but then, not really. :D

"send from the main guitar to compress the second guitar".....?

"trying to get the guitar to equal"....?

"compress the two signals together"....?

Can you explain the above a bit more....give more detail on what exactly you are trying to do with compression.
If you're just talking about getting their levels to be more the same....you may not really need compression, or you may need to use it a bit differently....but I'm not quite clear how you're using it to begin with.

Normally you put compressors in series with the signal, not in parallel. That is, you insert them on channels or submix groups rather than using an effects bus.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Your descriptions are rather confusing.

I don't hear anything especially needing compression in your mix, but the acoustic could come down a few dB.
