Common operating temp of your AMD Athlon XP?

How hot does your CPU usually run? Does anyone know what the average temp is under pressure, and what the danger-zone is? I have my mobo alarm set to go off at 133 degrees, and it will power off at 140 degrees. To those that know, does this sound about right? \
Mine has been running around 126 degrees or so under pressure, and about 112 degrees idle.

Technically the AMD chips will take up to 95C before they die, but will probably not be stable at those kind of temps. I'm running dual XP 1700+ on my system, and put some big quiet fans on to keep the noise down. Typical idle temps are around 50C, and under load it will get up to about 55C or so. I've had them as high as 60C without problems too. Your temps are nothing to worry about.

My XP 1900+ (w/ABIT KG7 MoBo and Vulcan 7cu fan) runs at 55 C (131 F), I set my over heat at 70 C. AMD lists the max allowable die temperature as 95 C. I have never seen mine top 58 C. Oh, and I use a 350 watt P/S with fans in a 12 Bay SuperCase (On Wheels) next to my computer desk, not enclosed in any computer furniture compartments (Tricky at best with a case this size).
 
Hmmm, I guess I need a damn conversion table, ha... so, how hot in REAL temperature is 95C? I want to stay well below that, but mainly I just need peace of mind knowing I'm not anywhere close.
 
How does one check the temp under load? I can check during idle by looking at the BIOS. Do motherboards come with some bundled software or something?
 
my xp1900+ is at 46c..its been on for about 2 days..my control room is nice and cool and my computer is running nice and cool...i have 3 huge fast fans in it...

Tf = (9/5)*Tc)+32

I find it easier to remember the decimal equivalent though.

Tf = (1.8 * Tc) + 32

So for the 95C we end up with:

Tf = (1.8 * 95C) + 32

So, we get 203F - Thats Smokin'!

AMD XP1700+
- light load: 41-42 C
- heavy load: 49 - 51 C
I told you, Alpha PAL8045 heatsink is one of the best there is, and it does not need noisy fans...
 
Mine runs a pretty consistent 120 at idle and bounces between 125-135 when tracking. Doesn't slow down or hickup at the higher temps so I don't fuck with it.
 
Athlon Thunderbird 1.4 overclocked to 1.575. 49c with system fan on, 53c w/o. Highest I've seen yet is 55. I have the dreaded Via chipset - I think that's ancient history now as I've had no problems - and it came with a nice little monitoring package that I leave right on the desktop. when it gets a little warm I switch on the fan (provided I'm not recording).
