i actually like the mix...at least it sounds more or less ok out of my speakers. but again i'm unsure about the highs and the kick....still learning though
Were those exorcist samples part of the original? Or just you being clever.
Great stereo spread.
The Guitar soloing isn't as forward as i think it should be. It seems buried under all that other stuff.
I can't really nit on the real mixing of it. Im just listening at work. But its not bad dude.
IF anything it would be production wise, i think if iwere going to redo this as a cover i'd probably put a lsight urban flavor into the beat section. fatten up the kick and crisp up the snare and give it a semi hip hop tone.
NOt like 50cent hip hop but a trip hop kinda feel. You know?
The mix sounds very good. The lead guitar could come up front more consideraby. I don't know what exactly you were going for, but it's kind of boring, even at under 3 minutes. Do more stuff with it.

I agree... the repeated arp pattern goes ALL the way thru the song. The guitar track sounds like it was 20dB muted. Fade is very abrupt.
Since I'm not really detecting other than a collage of samples and/or loops, hard to make mixing judgements, as I'd venture the mixing is limited to a volume blends.
oh, wow....lots of comments, just after i started to rant
i know that someone said, that i will get way more help if i do help others in return. the bad thing is, that i have absolutly no feckin clue about mixing and mastering...so any advice from me would be some sort of an dead end street
any ways, i am happy with my last mix/mastering....as for the guitars, i would love to have them louder if they were real guitars....
as for the repetitive pattern...not my fault. blame the oldfield
i made a quick video of that cover...looks like i had too much time on my hands
