I don't get to post as much as I'd like, but I thought I'd throw this one out. It's a collab I did with Buddah from RP. He wrote the tune and lyrics, handled vocals and guitars. I handled the horn and organ tracks and mixed the piece in Sonar. Pretty funny tune...thought you might dig it. The only thing that's buggin me is that I might not have the vox up far enough in the mix.

Very good performance and great mix. It's got a nice live professional sound and it is very tight. Couldn't hear anything wrong except it could use a little more cowbell

Thanks NY and Obese. Just checkin to see if my ears are still calibrated or not. I still think the vox is too quiet in the verses.

Sounds pretty pro. No nits. The keys are mixed in nice. Very proper. The keys, guitars, drums, vox all performed nicely. Level is fine.

Could use a cut at the end when it ends but continues with silence for some time.

I have no idea why that blank space is there....it wasn't on the .wav. Weird conversion/upload glitch!

I really dig the horn lines and the subtle organ parts are really nice. Is that a B3 organ voice?

Overall mix is nice, sounds smooth all the way around!!!

Seriously. I never thought I would utter those words, but it truly does need more cowbell.

Cool stuff, well done. Nice brass arrangement. One of the crash cymbals is sticking out in the middle, too much high end. Very amusing song.

Fantastic fun. Sounds good on this end, and I think the level of the all important cowbell could come up a db or 2, but don't go nuts.

McStrum...that organ voice is a patch I built on my wood burning Korg N364 run thu a Korg G4 leslie simulator and overdrive. It works ok, but I sure wish I had another B.

DavidK..thanks amigo. Had a tough time keeping the hornish lines in check...tryin not to let them overpower the guitar chords. I think the dual assault may have done in the mighty, mighty cowbell. Might have to look into a good cowbell amp. I knew I shouldn't have overdubbed those cymbal crashes.

Creep...thanks for the listen. Greg sent me some fabulous guitar tracks..I didn't have to do much to them. They were solid already.

Chris...you're right bout the cowbell. I've got Mr. Walken on it.

Hey Teysha,

This rocks man!!! Not what I expected at all, only because I'm used to hearing you doing nice textured, keyboard oriented stuff so well.

This is awesome. Me and my girlfriend are rocking to it. Buddah's voice is nice and nasty for this. And the keyboards managed to sound good without 80's-ing down the song.
