So almost everytime maybe 4/5 times I try closing out of Cubase LE 5 it either says (not responding) or it shuts my computer off and this has happened quite a few times. I don't want long term damages done to my computer. So maybe it's no big deal but im curious if theres anything I can do to prevent this.

9 times out of 10 it ends up being a free (and therefore more likely to be buggy) plugin or a crack.

As an experiment, remove all of your 3rd party plugins and see if it happens again. Otherwise, update your audio drivers.

Cheers :)

I agree with mofacta, I've had some buggy crappy plugins and it's no fun when it botches stuff up. I've even had plugs that wouldn't load at all and caused cubase to crash on launch.

That's not to say free stuff isn't great, because it is. But sometimes it sucks.

Alright thanks! I get rid of those and update this if it's still continuing.

Thanks guy that did stop the problem. just wish I could use plugins.

Which one were you trying to use? There are tons of good ones. Some just are badly written.

I don't remember what exact plugins I had. But I didn't have much. I had a Compressor, Limiter. I also had Guitar Rig but that was just a demo version.

It means you have cracked software on your DAW. The law of making music - if you use cracked software you'll always have lots of problems with it.
