Are there any inexpensive plugins that can analyze for clipping before burning a CD? I plan on purchasing Pyro 2004 to burn CD's, but get the impression that Pyro doesn't have that function on it's own. However, it does allow you to use directx plugins, so I'm assuming that a clipping analyzer could be used (if available).
Thanks,
Terry

At some point when you play the song, before you print the final, how about 'peak hold' on the meter? Then it's also easy to zoom in and fix them on the waveform display.

I bought Pyro - it is a bit of a toy and I really would have preferred Wavelab... The 2003 version I have does not allow you to specify a go-to soundcard - it defaults to the internals on the mobo.... Suck-fest factor five....

If you still want it, why don't you just take the finished file back into Sonar and manually look for anything which is getting a little high. Click on in an see if your meters peak?

Ciao,

Querty and mixsit, both you guys are right. I was just hoping for an automated method to make it easier.
BTW, I do own Wavelab 4, which seems to do everything that anyone could hope for. However, for this home studio hobbiest, the learning curve is a little more than I have time for. Pyro 2004 is an improvement over the 2003 version and it's easy enough to use until I have time for a Wavelabfest.

Thanks guys!
