This tool only removes the unused audio tracks right? From what I read in the manual I am assuming it will remove tracks/files no longer used like deleted tracks, unused overdubs and punch in. Am I right? It says( in the manual) it will remove items from clip board. I had out of memory on audio disc message come up.

If you are using Per Project Audio folders you are better off using the latest Cakewalk Audio Finder Tool - CWAF v3.5 (I think), which is more intelligent about how it cleans up the drive/s.

Freebie download from the Cakewalk website or it is on the Sonar v5 CD.

Ciao,

yes i use per project, I'll go download that now. Question, why is it better? I mean, using the tool I mentioned, it wont delet my "good" files will it?
Thanks,Jim

From memory the Clean Audio Disk command isn't as aware of Per Project Audio folders as CWAF is.

From an operational perspective, if you have .CWPs and audio files in multiple locations, CWAF is just a more elegant solution.

So said, I haven't even touched the Clean Audio Disk command since v3 -- I have used CWAF ever since, so some of the functionality may have changed with later releases.

As with any cleanup command BACK UP FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
