haha and here i thought you were going to sing Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

But...no...but hell man that song blew me away! i loved it, especially the cello in the beginning, another xp-30 patch? It was beautiful none the less. I don't post much but i always listen to your music and hell it rocks =)

Man Sam; this is freakin' great! Very creative.....I liked at the beginning when you'd hit that major chord where I kept expecting a minor. As always....a very dense, full mix.......I liked the change at 2:30.
My christmas album keeps growing. But this damn site is so slow....I can only listen to a song or two a day.

What no vocals?  ,...:D , just kidding my man, this is really good. I dug the change at 2:30 also. Wished I could get my kick sounding half that good...another good one Sam!!

Very huge sound you've got there. The intro sounded a lot like Pink Floyd's Sysyphys... or something like that. But when the drums kicked in, I recognised the song :D Cool version, and the change was very cool too. You seem to like putting them changes on your songs, and they usually work too. This is no exception. Great choice of sounds. I liked that moog-sounding thing there. Put's me on a christmas mood definitely... This is a solid one, yeah.

Sam, simply outstanding. Put DavidK on top of that and it would pass for TSO. The HR Christmas CD starting to take off.:D

Ha ha great! I envy your theramin in the beginning! Is it a real one, I must know!!! OK I'm hearing We Three Kings , then What Child is This, but I can't help but wonder if the section that comes in at 2:23 is related to a Christmas carol...it sounds oddly familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I really like your use of the cello patch on this one. The change at 1:28 really took me by suprise! Incredible job as usual!

I think this one took your starkly contrasting changes to another level, and it works well. Really enjoyed it, and wil continue to do so.

It's just a shame you didn't actually write it too :)

Excellent!

......better watch out man, musical blasphemy like that is just asking santa to shit down your chimney.:D Cool man, Kinda gives x-mas a different mind image..... up until the 3rd part, I kinda picture a fully decorated tree.... in the desert..(filmed in sepia)....... dying w/ the needles falling off in the desert wind..... .....then the 3rd part....., like saying "aww dont cry, I was just kidding" ........

...................pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffftttt ........
........here, ........COUGH! .........

........the morning buzz is the best buzz of the day

:D

Excellent sami!Im looking forward to part deuce!

Thanks man,Kramer

B. Sabbath,

You've critiqued some of my work in the past and I return favors so I'm listening to your X-mas medley. I agree on the string work, nicely done. Your drums are sequenced right? Hard to tell, but if it's a sequence nicely done, nice sounding cymbals. The drum part at 2:30 definitely sounds sequenced. You have a nice flute type patch going on here as well that sounds real good. You have a really big sound, impressive to listen to.

I liked this, listened to it a few times.

collateral samij,

Who would've thunk it? You've done at least two really cool x-mas tunes in there (Greensleeves & God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen) and stayed away from the more commercial xmas songs... love the interpretation... after a few more listens, the last tune in the medley will probably pop out at me...

The drums sounded really good, BTW.

what reverb did you use in the beginning... sounds good. the roland reverb?

you like those low, low, low, low cellos....me too;)

happy holidays dude....

nice riffage.
sounds like a different gtr sound.

whoa.... (still listening)
the change around the 3 1/2 min. mark was really beautiful. Very nice chord changes and production. One of the most beautiful passages (to me) that I've heard from you. Just a couple of chords, but they were something really special.

Really cool, the transition from the intro to the pizzicato/dbl bass is very nice!!! Then when the heavy metal greensleeves started, i got totally blown away!

The transition at 2:26 was a bit sudden I felt...or was that your intention? The music for that part was very good though!

cheers!

dudes, my reply vanished 3 times.. I'll try to reply properly when the site is feeling better..

thanks for the feedback!

I enjoyed everything. Christmas music like only Sam can do it.

I especially liked "What Child Is This" (if I remember my song titles correctly). Great thick guitar sound on that one.

I'm off work all next week and I hope to get the time to get a Holiday song out there myself.

i've never heard a hard rock take on a christmas song, what child is this is one of my favorites..........pretty cool.........it all sounds nice........some intricate things going on in there.........nice work
