That first one really caught me off guard. I thought it sounded really cool. Whoda thunk it man, heavy metal Christmas music!

It rocks. Makes me want to fire up my new guitar.;)

This was very good. It's epic enough that I'd actually like it to be longer.

The thing at the beginning kinda' reminded me of the old Star Trek "saw" effect.

I don't know why I even bother with the stream on your tunes...I always end up downloading them anyway.

OH YEAH, AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF FREAKING BASS ON THIS!!! LOVED THE BASS!!! lol.

Take care,
Chris

Nice one, Sam. I agree with Chris, it could have been longer.

Speaking of TSO, we have another show tonight. Its quite an event this year, they went nuts with the lasers. It is also VERY hot with all the lights. Last night, they went nuts with the smoke machine, and we couldnt even see.

Wish I could hear it all, gets to about 1:40, when the electric guitars are firing up and spits and sputters and never recovers... happened at the same spot twice in a row.

Nowhere radio sets their bandwidth alotments base don a lower bitrate then the file was encoded in. I typically use standard 128kbps (not variable or average)... I do all digital recordings so the loss isn't that great at the lower bitrate and it plays on my $5 unlimited usage web host ;).

Take that, Mr cringle!!!

are u gonna leave a copy of this for santa, on the mantle with some cookies and milk??:) naughty??....nah, hell nah!! very nice indeed!! no hunk of coal for u this year young man. jingles bells, with the sustained chord, freakin awesome!!! santa would prolly cut his delivery time in half while listening to this!!!

cool stuff!!!

peace

Gave this a ilsten the other day but couldn't get a response through.

Real nice recording. The more of your stuff I hear I am starting to wonder if you ever actually play the geetar or not!:D

The sounds are full (as usual) and you string the different parts together nicely! I remember you mentioning the different keyboards you use, one being a Yamaha X30, but I can't remember if you also have a Roland or something else.
Anywho..........I always enjoy playing your stuff for my youngest as for some reason it scares the crap out of him!

Happy Thanksgiving!

stray411 - the drums aren't sequenced.. I play pads and only record the audio.. The drum sound module is a Roland TD-8..

mixmkr - hey mix, yeah it's Roland reverb directly from the board.. I stripped that patch down and that is what I was left with.. I cranked the verb up to add a cold feeling.. The patch was called 'helium queen.'

Pinky - Yeah I always have a problem with streaming, so I usually download things, and then erase them immediately after..

fenderlikingood - I think your the only person who knew it was jingle bells at the end..

jcmm - hey Joel, it's not a Yamaha dude, it's a Roland XP-30.. I imagine the Yamaha is better..

David K - it is incredible to be rubbing elbows with someone who is the real deal.. Did you ever remix our tune?

Everyone - Thanks for all the great comments! I wish all the best for you guys and your families... Always be thankful that your not in my boat!

have a safe and happy one! :)

this really has your signture all over it! I liked the 2:23 change best. Imagine that :) I love that moody stuff. I was going to do that nutcracker sugar plum song.. I love that song... maybe next year.
***** beautiful!

Ya man,now that's how you do a Christmas song, just great!
I love the E-bow intro,(that is an e-bow,right?)

Really cool production Sam,you really know how to make it fit!
Definitly Marley's ghost going on there!

One of the best Christmas instrumentals Iv'e heard.

Thanks,I really dug it!

Christmas with Scooby!

Dig that intro! Wow, this is really an innovative piece! Great mix of instruments. LOOOOVE the crunchy guitar, I dig a fat, smooth, LA sound like that. Suhweet! Ooooh, the change at 2:25 RULES!! this is MY kind of sound! It soars sweetly... Love subtonics and parallel 5ths, even if they break the rules!

Hey, this is really cool, man, REALLY cool!

Cheers
Phil

Sam,

Sorry for the late post. Just checked in after a long time gone. But I wanted to reply. As usual, no matter what you do, you put that fucking Samicide Spin on it. Huge tones and multi layers. Only you could make an evil sounding christmas tune. Nice job. I swear I will have something up for a listen in another 37 years. Too many irons in the fire of life for me I am afraid.

Cheers,

Fangar

Sam;

Man, this is absolutely too cool! I love it , Bro! Excellent as always...

I would never have envisioned Christmas music this way, but this is great. Way too cool, and you still get some of the best tones on whatever you are recording!!!

Hey Sam,

What a cool arrangement. I love the changes from soft to hard to soft again. I recognize the Helium Queen on my JV2080. That's the therimin-like sound right? The whole piece has
a spooky quality to it which is very cool indeed.
