Hello , I've finished and now testing the waters with this somewhat ambient instrumental. I'm playing with a new guitar technique I accidentally discovered recently. I found I could "chime" an open string , and then fret and slide the note to different positions. I thought it was quite unusual that it never brought out the fundemental fretted note but only retained the high chime. I used a single Washburn Montery acoustic direct in to help with the sustain.
Thanks for the listen and any nits, crits or suggestions. mark

Pure lovely. Chime Time's prime time. I don't know why you aren't rich or famous or both.

Didn't notice anything about the mix the first time through - the music caught my attention. I'll listen again and see if I can come up with something, but it's close here and now.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'testing the waters', but if you decide at some point to retrack it, you could consider a 'less is more' possibility for that four-note descending segment at the end of each part (eg. 1.08 - 1.20). You repeat it. It might be more powerful if you just play it once.

Wow, so nice. I love your style and playing. No nits here, just a great listen while I enjoy my coffee on a cold Sunday morning here in Michigan.

Sounds lovely. A beautiful, atmospheric composition that just clicks and pulls you right in. An experiment that was well worth undertaking exquisitely performed.

Just for my own curiosity, I would love you to attach a version here with the complete drum track muted. I understand if you would prefer not to.

Bravo!

@dobro , I gave up on being rich and famous a couple of decades ago. Now it's just a wonderful hobby and a way to keep my sanity.
I Have gone back in , and the link now reflects a remix. I couldn't completely drop one of the sections you mentioned , but I did make changes muting clips and made adjustments to not make it not so repetive sounding. Thanks !
@stratmonkee Thank You . We also had a "cold" Sunday morning here in Alabama. I spent my early childhood playing in the snow in Flint Michigan. I honestly can't remember ever being cold. 😁
@PorterhouseMusic , Thank You ! But , you know .. I'll keep messing with it untill I'm sick of hearing it .
@HumanPlanet , I Really appreciate your contsant support ! Give me a day or two and I'll PM you an MP3..
Thanks for the listens and the comments. I'm hearing a couple of drum hits in this remix that I'm going to adjust (again) , but I wont bump the song up.
Thanks .. mark

You are on to something Mark. Were you referring to the Snare hits in talking about adjusting - there were a couple that jumped out to me.

Acoustic guitar doesn't usually drive my car but this is quite exceptional. Just beautiful sounds

Yes there were a few hard hits copied and pasted a couple of times. After settiing up to send @HumanPlanet a file with no drums , I Really liked the intro with nothing but the kick and made adjustments.
@Bulls Hit , Thanks. thats my "go to" guitar I normallly use when writing , no matter the genre or what I'm going to use while tracking.
@Flyguitarfish , Thanks for the listen and comment.
@Codger , Thank You , It was fairly easy getting a relexing sound "having" to play that slow.
@frank1985 , Thanks Frank. That guitar is a dream to play but doesn't soung great with a mic. It has a pizeo under the saddle and magnet pickup built into the neck. I finally got it dialed in for this one..
Appreciate the listens .. mark
