Christmas Collab

Hello Gerry,
I've been playing the previous mix to any & everyone for the last year - it's been a staple in my classroom over the past weeks too (along with my collab with Joeym).
Now, you've presented a terrific upgrade - I've nagged on & on about what real drums would do for your songs - now Iive discovered that I underestimated both the songs & the effect of real percussion.
mjhamil on bass - he is a real bass player - I can hear that - it's not a guitarist noodling - it's a real underpinning of the rhythm & melody - he's good - keep him.
poeticintensity on drums - so different to Greg & RAMI but also so right for this track - keep him.
davidk on synths - a man I rather miss - where are you David? I did comment origially that I didn't like the Jinglke bells tag on the end but now, after listening to this song for a year I get his point & it belongs. Oh, his arrangement is ace as is his playing - keep him.
ido1957 on vocals, guitars, piano - A singer with a very attractive voice, who's discovery of mic'd cabs has taken his excellent guitar playing into another sonic sphere, he plays keyboard too - keep him!
I take it from this latest retooling taht no one bought the rights to it.
FOOLS!
EVERYONE I play it for - & that's from 10 YOAge & up - Loves it!

Shame that David K doesn't hang around here anymore....
My only nit (and not a serious one is that the voice sounds above everything else, but that's just taste and it fits to this style. Great Xmas song!

Very nice. Definitely has that holiday sound to it. Everything is really well done and sits beautifully together in the mix. I'm a fan.
 
really nice collab. I like the message it brings. Vocal could be a tad lower and maybe add some 4k - 8k for a little air.

Sounds good guys. Nice job. The drums are a little dark, but not bad. Needs more bass gtr.
 
Can't wait to hear it! IT screwed around with our firewall settings and I can no longer stream music from alot of sites.:mad: Really pisses me off..the only time I can listen and critique is when I get home from work, which is usually pretty late.:( I'll make it a point to stay up and listen to this one tho.:)
 
This is sooo smooth. You guys really nailed it. Love all the little touches, they really take it to the next level.

As always, vocals are right on. Lyrics have an appropriate message that really jives with the spirit of the holidays.

Thanks for sharing and bringing a touch of Christmas to the forum guys!

please don't get mad ido, but i liked it better when your voice was more in the foreground better, it's (background/instruments) a little much now, either way it sure is a beautiful song tho:)

This tune is a real treat. I listened to the first mix before I noticed the second one, and really like the second one alot. The vocals are really, really nice, and they sit very well in the mix. The vibe is so sweet. Hard to believe it's a collab!

that depends on the whole situation of the song nakatira, alot of songs do need more of that or other changes, this one doesn't.
 
nice! I think I'd like to hear more "air" on the lead vox, but I like the level in the mix.

Very well performed/tracked/mixed, very nice to listen
