Not going to see the girlfriend for a while thought i would force her to write a song with me. She gave in and tweeted along like a bird. It was rather cute. The quality is very poor, doh but its alright for an afternoon of frollicks........

I`m just going to post it for a day and a night or so. I used little earphones and it sounds unbearable without them.

Nice sound to this one... I like the wide, full acoustic sound,... and your "chickadee" can definitely sing... (do you really call her that??? :p) LOL...

Nice song! The acoustic guitars sound good, is it the same guitar from before? The line "stay, baby, stay", I was thinking, what is that, reminds me of something, and then I thought, oh yeah, "lay, lady, lay". Nice harmonies, too. (Careful working with your girlfriend, can be dangerous! ;) :D

yeah...you can critique this and that...and even the wrong color of those crappy "little earphones" you wear... but it wouldn't mean squat. By the way... did you ever get all 6 strings on your guitar (you dog!!):D :eek: :D :D
 
Man...I read somewhere that Lennon & McCartney wrote "Day Tripper" as a forced composition, meaning they needed a song for a single right then and so bam...they did it. Now that is talent and this guy has that same kind of thing going for him. He just throws them out there and they are all good!!!

WATYF - man your sarcasm kills me everytime. I rechon your bound to hate the next tune. I seem to remember your lurvley accoustic and ace vocals boy. I wont forget. Chickadee, nope but hay I am not going to see her for a year ish.

She wanted to know how I made these songs I kept giving her. So I sat her down with a pen and paper and told what I do. We (I) hummed about until a melody popped up and then slowly I got her to sing something. My singing is dismal, Its scrapy as anything and gets in the way.

Hey..I do. I don't know why you think I wouldn't. But...I sold all my equipment, and I now make walnut bowls and re-wallpaper my living room for fun. Hey...where do you buy those "little earphones" .....I have little ears!!;)

The first vocal melody is very similar to Bill Joel's "my life" :D
Not sure if you have ever heard it, but I thought of it.. just the first vocal melody though. Very catchy tune.. I like it.. your girl sounds good too.. This song would lend itself quite nicely to a metal version! :D

No - nice work as usual. Nice mix with the chickadee's voice. If you ever come to the states be warned - you stand a good chance of getting slapped if you call a girl that.

You always get great sounds on the voice and guitars. I loved this one too.

I also caught that one section that sounds like Billy Joel's My Life. Just a bit though.

Do they even have entourages in Scotland (or wherever he's from :p ) I thought all those UK solo artists were the "brooding loner" types... :p

Erland.. you gotta start getting into the "role" now... :p Make sure you never smile all the way.. just let out a sheepish "grin" every once in a while. Avoid big crowds and always look downtrodden and dejected... the chicks love it... :cool:

Great song, as usual. So how do you get that stereo effect on the guitar? Do you record it twice?

When I'm old and lazy I'll start writing these popsongs. they sound sooooo good. In the meantime I'll continue making this progressive rock thang...

I Think recording is not only catching the music it's more like cathing the feeling thing. And you Erland yuo're doing the thing.
