Check out these first songs!!

One is a full acoustic song... the song is meant to be played with heavy guitars and with drums and everything... we just wanted to do a acoustic version.

The other is a clip of a full band song.. this was my first attempt at recording anything on the MR8... I'm not sure if I like how it turned out.

The vocals on the acoustic one.. are not to my liking either but i was tired of messing with em.

I used a marshall electronics condenser for vocals, and the drums... and plugged straight with the guitars.

I want opinions as well as tips.. if you guys got the time.. thanks..

I really liked the acoustic tune. You have absolutely nailed the acoustic sound for this tune. What is it, and how was it recorded?

Vocally, it sounds like the guitarist is in the bedroom and the singer is singing from the shower in the next room. Might want to kill some verb on that one. Try to bring the mix a little closer. Sounds like you have a really good start.

funny u should say that...

its not a TRUE acoustic... its an electric going through a digitech rp200 with the acoustic modelling effect... it sounded way better than my mic'ed acoustic so we went with it.

OIC....that's why the bass strings sound so good! I've been trying to get that tone out of mine but when I get the tone where I want it, the damn thing booms and resonates too much! I think I got a better sound using a dynamic mic. This last time I was using a condenser mic.
