Get lost, you're too good to be here. :)

The vocals sound a bit too compressed. Also they sound a bit boxed in, for my taste. May I hazard a guess? You're using some kind of dynamic mix, right? If so I would try to use a condenser on it to open up the sound a bit.

You Garbage really needs more variation. Either by radically changing the arrangement a couple of times in the song, or by making up a chorus of some sort.

This reminds me a lot of Bubba Sparxxx, and in my book that is good. :)

i actually did use a Condenser a mic a Marshal MXL1006 i think its cuz of the background noise y the vocals sound 'closed" when i record vocals the meter would read -54 db already taken up by background noise...u think thats it or over compression? and how do i make my vocals less boxy? i might of over compressed/limited the entire track when i 'mastered' it

i should of clarified i don't want comments on the song just the mixing sonic fidelity etc...

good looks for checking it though

and how come my thread only has 1 star :(

Because some COWARDLY folk like to do that and then not make any comments.

Here's some more.

Oh yeah...mix comments. I don't feel qualified, because anything even bordering in hip-hop/rap/funk-a-word-ic is just mixed totally differently than what I do. To me, it sounds like there's a TON of low end...like, LOW low...60-80Hz stuff; but it's SUPPOSED to be that way, right?

I'm useless for anything but stars on this one.

Sorry,
-Chris

Maybe the closed sound also comes from too much proximity effect, ie holding the mic to close to the mouth. In any case it can probably be fixed by less compression and/or reducing the bass on the vocals or increasing the highs a bit.

i think its the proximity to the mic cuz i add as much high end needed...thanks for checking...i need to get a spit guard to enforce how close u can be to the mic

yea rap is supposed to have a lot of low end but its not supposed to be distored lemme know if it sounds distorted in ya system or if you can't understand the vocals

I wrote a whole review-a couple actually before I noticed that the "3d wide balance" on the windows volume tab was on and turned up! Doah...anyway this sounds much better now! Maybe a tad less bass-though I like the near distortion your getting. I would like to hear another layer of sound occasionally-for some reason I hear a trumpet line??.....Overall real good teach. BTW im still available if you need a guitar or bass track one of these days. I'll check out some more later c'ya......

thanks....whats ya email cuz u never seemed to reply or if ya did i erased it by mistake

I wasn't getting any distortion on the vox...I was having trouble understanding all the words, but it's not a sonic issue...there are too many multi-syllabic words falling on top of each other for clarity to unaffected.

i guess its hard for people to understand the lyrics when they aren't used to listening to rap lyrics....

their are 3 TRACKs people they are different

The last two links go to the same file, so there is actually only two...

I love the beat on interlude. Its musical. The delivery on it is also real strong. I did not hear a hook though, so I would not like to hear it on radio.

I did not like the beat on "you garbage" but the delivery is good and the hook is tight. The verse is a little bit boring, but the chorus is real tight. I would listen to this on radio.

I hardly ever comment about the mix anymore, but something caught my attention. The vocal has too much high end and too much boom at the same time. It sounds like you were one inch from the mic (boom) and then you boosted the highs above 8k for the tinniness. I suggest moving a few inches from the mic and not using eq for a more balanced vocal sound

thanks...which track are u talkin about though both?

regebro-DOAH!..thats my mistake and they won't let me edit it.

o well

OK theirs 2 TRACKS :D
