guitar shaped wall-clock! oh snap! that looks kinda cool for the studio, but i'm sorta against having anything that tells time nearby while i'm working on music...
 
It would be cool to have a PLAYABLE guitar wall clock. Like take some cheapie electric les paul ripoff and drill a hole for one of those 'make a clock out of anything' kits... Get a fancier one and it could play some cliche guitar riff at the hour (probably not a good idea).
 
guys...make sure you read the reviews on that clock....I was about to buy 2 until I read them.....

Not that the reviews on MF matter to me (most of the people seem clueless, ignorant, whatever you want to call it), but what were people expecting for $25? A real guitar with a swinging neck (I'd bet that there were expectations of that)? I'll admit the photo is a little deceiving, but it says its made of pickguard material - thin would be something that comes to my mind.

Yeah I agree about time. In fact I'm against time in general. It just gets in the way of a good time. "It's time to go" WTF is that?? I hate time.
 
At first I was upset that there wasn't a good deal... then I orded a couple of these learning-guitar note-a-day calenders. My girlfriend and my friend's daughter are both learning guitar and would benefit from some sort of structured information timeline... Worth $5 anway :)

I guess this is spam in a way, but we end up putting the deals down more than anything...

How about that banjo? I had a banjo but it's been on permanent loan to a person in a different country for 3 years or more... I wouldn't mind picking it up again... I got pretty good with some of the rolls. On the other hand I don't have time for my instruments as it is... But my friend who plays banjo will be visiting soon (and bringing his guitar so not a banjo). Gah I need to stop watching these deals (yeah, right). I'm going to try to resist this one... I had a banjo and it sat in the closet for years... This would, too, after a few playing sessions...
 
nothing has gotten me that hot yet...

and still, i honestly don't know if i ever want to give musician's friend money again.

i'm loving the way sweetwater takes care of me, my personal sales guy is a great help, i've asked for a few things they didn't care, they ordered it and put it in stock, and they seem to be all over everything for me making sure it's as smooth as possible...

for example...
yesterday i checked fedex tracking and it said Delivery Attempt - See Comments

Incorrect Address..


I checked the statement on sweetwater, address was good. called my boy, he made some stink about it but it was too late in the day...

called me at 9am today to tell me he was on hold with fedex, and it was here 20 minutes later.

had the correct addy on it, sweetwater didnt fuck up, fedex driver was just a mook

i remember seeing a video on YouTube of this banjo player from germany who was blazing fast. the guy had some chops.
 
That actually looks like a nice mic. I actually enjoy mics with a neodenyum element like the old EV N/D series. Some people should jump on one, if my dime wasn't so thin... I'd use another outdated expression!
 
I have a couple similar AKG mics and they are awesome for vocals, especially live.
